Betty Lu Winslow

She is survived by her sisters Dianne Lissel (Earl ), Marlene Lee ( Kent) and numerous nieces and nephews; Donavon Block ( Pearl), Harlan Block (Heather), Connie Weibe (Steve), Michelle Lissel and Chad Lissel.

She was predeceased by her parents Adolf and Helen Winslow, sister Adeline Block, brother-in-law Walter Block, and brother-in-law, Craig Vickaryous.

Betty Lu was born in Humboldt SK and spent her childhood on the Jansen family farm. In 1963, our parents retired and moved to Saskatoon where Betty Lu spent her life. After completion of her education in Saskatoon, she began her 25-year career at the U of S and retired in 2012. Betty Lu was a kind, gentle soul, nonjudgmental of people. She was quiet in her own way and a better listener than a talker! She enjoyed getting away to tropical destinations in the winters with friends. She also enjoyed a trip to Europe with our mom. We will miss our sister dearly.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital for their outstanding care, kindness and understanding during her short time there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society Saskatoon.
