

It is with great sadness that the family shares with you the passing of Diane. Mom passed peacefully in the early morning of May 8, 2022 after a long battle with dementia. Diane was survived by her three children; Craig (Deb), Cindy and Chris (Michelle), four grandchildren; Bobby (Crystal), Amanda (Shelby), Stacey and Jaclynn (Dan), four great grandchildren; Talia, Tysen, Cereza and Khloe, Brother Dana (Francine), Brother-in-law Ray (Peggy), Sister-in-laws; Jill Yathon, Clara Saip and Betty Saelhof as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence, Parents Gustav and Marie Yathon, infant grandson Justin, brother Lorne Yathon, Parent-in-laws; John and Lydia Rathgeber and her six brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws. Diane was born and raised in Melville, SK this is where she met the love of her life Lawrence. They were married in March 1962. Together they raised their family on a beautiful acreage in Pike Lake, SK. The two of them eventually retired to Saskatoon. Diane enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with the people she loved! Visitation will take place on Sunday May 15, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive) The Funeral Service will be held at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive) on Monday May 16th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the luncheon. The family would like to thank the staff at Sherbrooke Nursing Home for all the care they provided for our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
