The family of Dorothy Mary Le Gars (nee Bibbey) is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan, on October 29, 1936. Mom loved to sing, laugh, tell a joke or a funny story, and stop to chat with anyone and everyone; strangers were just friends she hadn’t met yet. She was always the “fun one” and will be sorely missed.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Edmond Adrien Le Gars, and children, Edmond Yves (Jan), Suzanne Lise (Jack), and Monique Janine (Darcy); ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Frank Bibbey, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Mary (Warwick) Bibbey, sisters, Gwen Mackay (Craig) and Eileen Greschuk (Nick).
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan in Dorothy’s memory.
