Duane Waite Stewart

September 29, 1947 – February 7, 2015

It is with great sadness that the family of Duane Stewart, Saskatoon, SK, announce his sudden passing on February 7, 2015. He is survived by his sons Deven and Tyler; brother Rick Stewart and his children Brandy and Sean. Duane was predeceased by his father Fergus Stewart and mother Sylvia Stewart; his sister Sheila Adolphe Korhcinski; sister-in-law Marilyn Stewart; and step-father Fred Mecklinburgh. Duane was born and raised in the Weyburn district before moving to Saskatoon to pursue university. He completed his business degree before beginning his nearly 40 year career with Canada Revenue Agency. In retirement Duane enjoyed spending his days at home or in the garden as well as spending time with his two children. He was an avid music enthusiast and could often be found viewing the Montreal Canadiens game or volunteering for one of the many charities he cared for. The Funeral Service will be held at McClure United Church (4025 Taylor Street East, Saskatoon) on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Duane can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (279 - 3rd Ave North Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8).
