Mom was born in the Grasswood district south of Saskatoon on September 30, 1922. After her marriage to Ernie in 1944, they moved to Saskatoon where they raised their family. She was a home-maker and worked in various occupations, most notably as a fur finisher. Mom’s life was defined by her strong faith and service to God and others. This faith carried mom through her health challenges in her later years. She was especially active in her church through visitation of church members and years of service on the Board of Fellowship. Due to her declining health, mom required more care and spent the last three years of her life at Keedwell Assisted Living Center. We are thankful to Myrna and Dalton Varga and staff for the excellent and compassionate care provided to mom. Mom and her family are grateful for the medical care she received from her family physician, Dr. Donna Cameron. The Celebration of Mom’s Earthly Life will be held on Friday, December 5th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (627 Taylor Street East) at 1:30 pm, conducted by Pastor Murray Keith with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (627 Taylor Street East, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 1V9) or a charity of your choice.
