It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Edward Kisil at the age of 85. Dad was a man of great strength, warmth, and kindness, he touched the lives of all who knew him. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years Delores who passed in May 2023.
Left to mourn his passing are his children Geri (Warren) Frie, Brian (Michelle) Kisil, Darla (Jason) Clark. 5 grandchildren Breanne (Kevin Lishchynsky), Taylor (Kelsey Blanch), Chelsea, Connor and Emerson, and 3 great-grandchildren Cobin, Carter and Layne, and the newest addition yet to arrive.
From his early years, he displayed a remarkable work ethic and dedication to his family, always putting the needs of others before his own. Dad’s work career was in Sales, however due to health issues, retirement came earlier than expected. He was a jack of all trades and had a garage full of tools to prove it.
Dad’s pride and joy was their beautiful back yard and all his trees. Dad spent many hours grooming, trimming, and watering them. After a hard day’s work in the back yard gardening, the pool became a popular place for him to enjoy gatherings with his family.
The last 5 years had been difficult for dad and our families, as he was diagnosed with dementia. We all noticed as his memories were slowly fading away, and his quality of life was changed forever by this disease. Many visits with him included flipping through photo albums, playing cards, coloring, putting together puzzles, doing word searches, and just sitting with him, help pass the time.
As we say goodbye, we take comfort in all memories we have with Dad. May he rest in peace, knowing he was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
As per Dad’s wishes, there will be no public funeral service held. In lieu of a gathering, we kindly ask that you remember dad in your thoughts or offer a prayer in his honor. Your quiet reflection and heartfelt wishes are deeply appreciated during this time.
