Grateful for Dad’s 102 years of life, it is with sad hearts we announce the death of Edward Joseph Lang. Dad passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023, just four months from his 103rd birthday,
Dad was a navigator in the Air Force in World War II, a hail adjuster, and a long time teacher and principal. He married the love of his life, Rita Grundy, in 1944. They had nine children and were married 62 years.
Left to cherish Dad's memory:
Joan, Mary (Peter), Anne (Steve), Ruth, Berna (Nick), Bob, Mike (Leni), Frank (Michelle) Chris (Eileen), 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Dad is predeceased by his wife Rita, his grandchildren Jason and Tiffany, and sons-in-law Jerry and Ken.
The family extends their profound gratitude to the staff of St. Anne’s Nursing Home for the excellent loving care they gave Dad. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents at the Palisades where Dad lived for almost 20 years.
Edward Lang’s funeral mass will be celebrated April 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, 217 Lenore Drive in Saskatoon.
