Eileen was predeceased by her children; Ronan Sopha, Nicole Sopha and husband, Walter German. Parents, Otto and Eva Senger, sister Deby Urquhart and nephew, Adam Hoiness. Eileen endured many hardships in her life, despite this; she touched so many lives with her kind heart and gentle soul. Eileen was born December 19, 1953. She grew up on the family farm, near Allan, with her parents and three sisters. Here she adopted and nurtured many stray animals along with loving and caring for her pet bunnies. She went on to graduate from a Dental Assistant course and worked as one for a few years in Saskatoon. Her life’s journey then took her to Sudbury, Ontario where she worked for the IGA in the meat department. Here she met her first husband, Brian Sopha. They then married in 1977 at Allan, SK. Their children, Ronan and Nicole were born in Regina, SK where they resided for a few years. Their life then took them to Maple Creek, SK, where Eileen lived until 2024. While in Maple Creek, Eileen met the love of her life, Walter Germann. Because Las Vegas was their favorite place to travel to, this is where they married, in 1996. Eileen and Walter’s home was always open to friends, family, and of course the hunters, where we all enjoyed Eileen’s delicious food. While in Maple Creek she worked 33 years as a CCA for Home Care, where she formed many close friendships with her co-workers. Because of her kind heart and compassion her clients dearly loved her. During her recent battle with cancer she never lost her sense of humour, her will to live and continued to put others before herself. Everyone whose lives she has touched will truly miss her. The family would like to thank the staff at Glengarda Hospice for the wonderful care and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday April 11, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Parish (222 Willow Street, Saskatoon). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Glengarda Hospice in Eileen’s memory.
