After she married Alex Sebastian on July 5, 1943, they made their first home in Truro, NS where Alex was enlisted in the Army. A year later they moved back to Punnichy, SK where they started mixed farming and resided there until their retirement and move to Saskatoon in 1996.
Her life in Punnichy was very busy. Mom enjoyed her role as mother and teacher to her six children. She loved her garden, greenhouse, and her flower beds. She was an expert seamstress and quilter, teaching classes to many in the community. Mom was an excellent cook and baker, winning many 1st Place Prizes at the Summer Fair. She was active in the community and CWL and enjoyed curling as one of her hobbies.
Mom loved her family and the family gatherings. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mom had such a good attitude about life. We have learned so much from her. She will be dearly missed by all.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to all who assisted in mom’s care over the past few years, especially the Sisters and staff at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home for the past two years of tender, loving care.
