Ervin Claude Gautschi

He attended Saskatoon Tech for high school where he met Shirley (Bursaw). They married in 1955 and soon after moved to Ontario. Erv started work there in the car business, first with Volkswagen and in later years with Mercedes Benz. Both daughters were born in Ontario.

Some of Erv’s favourite things were trips to the casino, woodworking and his beloved Toronto Blue Jays.

Erv was predeceased by his wife Shirley, and his siblings Bill, Nell, Margaret and Florence. He is survived by daughters Brenda (Bob) and Linda (Rick) plus 4 grandchildren Rachel (Bill), Ryan (Shauna), Cody (Danielle), Dana (River) and step granddaughter Laura. Erv had a fun and loving relationship with his great grandchildren, Ariel, Ethan, Alanis, Amelia and step great grandson Ben.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Erv will be deeply missed by friends and family alike. He touched a lot of lives in his time with us.

A Celebration of Life will be had at Mourning Glory - Acadia McKague's Funeral Chapel on Friday Dec 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. Internment at Hillcrest Cemetery at 3:00 pm same day.
