November 20, 1937-December 24, 2022
Eugene passed away at Royal University Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Phyllis Dziadyk, his loving wife of 58 years, Regina, his brother Albert, his son-in-law, Gord, and numerous in-laws. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Raeleen and her children, Layne, Paige, Mary (Noah) and Jonah, as well as many loved-ones and friends.
Eugene grew up near Smuts, Saskatchewan. It was during these early years that he met his wife, Regina Niedzielski. After working in the city briefly, he married Regina and together they moved to Smuts and eventually to Aberdeen, to build their life together and start their own farming adventure. Later, opportunity took them back to Saskatoon where he began his career at F. Mendel Holdings. This job, which he enjoyed for over 40 years, allowed him the opportunity to meet many interesting people. He loved to visit and seemed to make friends wherever he went.
Eugene and Regina welcomed their daughter, Raeleen and spent many hours as devoted parents supporting her in her activities. Although Eugene was a hard worker and was committed to his job, he was also a dedicated family man, taking his girls on many trips in the motorhome to Arizona or just camping closer to home. He enjoyed life in the country and after Raeleen married Gord, he spent many hours helping them on their acreage. Dido was a loving grandfather spending countless hours with his grandchildren helping them with projects, vacationing at the lake, being a listening ear ready to share his wisdom, and of course, going for treats!
Eugene was a patient, caring, and selfless man who cared for others and didn’t believe in complaining. He believed in hard work, and the importance of faith. Dido, you showed us all that sometimes angels wear plaid shirts and cowboy boots.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 29th, 2022 at Holy Spirit Parish in Saskatoon at 1:00 in the afternoon. The family asks respectfully that you consider masking.
