Gail Frances Kocur

Gail Frances (Hartman) Kocur was born October 1, 1944 in Eston, SK. She is predeceased by her husband Alec Kocur, parents, Carl and Betty Hartman. Gail is survived by her daughters Michelle (Tim) Rachey, grandsons Aiden and Bode; Andrea (Rick) Peddle, grandsons Jackson and Grayson.

She attended public & high school in Kyle, SK. Throughout her school years she loved figure skating & playing the piano and excelled in many sports. In 1962 she moved to Saskatoon to take a course as stenographer/bookkeeper. In 1970 she married Alec Kocur in Saskatoon. She worked various jobs throughout her career, including SIAST, the RCMP & Parkridge Centre, from which she retired in 2000. When not working outside the home, she took great pride in her family and home. She was an avid volunteer for many school & extracurricular activities & events. She loved cooking, baking & decorating cakes for special occasions. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping & spending summers at the cabin at Clearwater Lake. She spent the majority of her retirement years enjoying family time. She was extremely proud of her grandsons and all that they continue to accomplish. She never missed a game of football, soccer or lacrosse, or a band concert, art show or karate tournament. She also volunteered at Sherbrooke in the Tumbleweed Gift Shop. She spent many weekends camping with her Saskatoon Berry Sams & the Provincial Good Sam group, where she made many great friends.

She was a great wife, mom, grandma & friend and will be missed every day. We love you.
