Grace Lillian Stolar

Mom was born on August 30, 1932, in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. She was raised on a farm near Kindersley, where she developed a deep appreciation for hard work, family, and the simple beauty of prairie life.

As a young woman, she moved to Saskatoon to attend nursing school. It was in Saskatoon that she met her life partner, Lloyd, beginning a lifelong journey of love and companionship. Together, they built a home in Saskatoon, where they raised their four children and created many lasting memories.

Mom and Dad fulfilled their dream of lake life at Little Bear Lake, a place that brought them immense joy. Surrounded by friends and nature, Mom cherished her time at the lake, embracing its relaxed pace and the strong sense of community it offered.

Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd. She will be deeply missed by her children Harry (Sandy), Geri, Linda (Dean), and Barry (Twyla). Her grandchildren Shayne, Chad (Dallacye), Breanna (Thomas), Jessica, and Tatum (Olev) as well as her great-grandchildren Tomas and Brady.

Grace will be remembered for her quiet strength, her caring nature, and her devotion to family. Her memory will continue to live on in the stories we share and the everyday moments that remind us of her.

At Mom’s request, no service will be held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Canadian Wildlife Federation to support the causes that meant so much to Mom. Arrangements are in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Service (306) 978-5200.
