Irene Gertrude Clark

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Irene Clark (nee Wiens) on December 31, 2021 at the age of 79 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Richard; Children: Chris (Tracey) and daughter-in-law, Angela (Kees); grandchildren: Devin (Jessica), Amber, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Alyssa, and Connor; great-grandchildren: Noah, Cory, Mason, and Lauren; sister Ruth and brother George (Joyce) as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son (Cory) and parents (Rudolph and Mary).

Mom was many things to many people over the years of her life including a nurse (RN), caregiver and babysitter of young and old alike, and volunteered at the churches and care homes in the various communities throughout Saskatchewan that she lived in with Dad. First and foremost, she was my Dad’s partner. From the beginning of their marriage living in Nipawin with two small children to their retirement years living in Saskatoon, the two of them loved and supported each other and modelled for their family and others what a healthy marriage looks like. My earliest memories are of Mom and Dad taking us camping and this continued up until the last couple of years with the two of them travelling across Western Canada and beyond in their endless series of trailers and small RVs visiting family and friends wherever they went.

A private memorial service will be held at the family’s request with a Celebration of Life to be held this summer.
