I will miss Irene and catching up with her about her family and what she was up to. The last time she phoned me we chatted and she was just the same as if I was talking to her 35 years ago. She was always cheerful and interested in what was happening with me. She had a very special place in my life as did Ernie when he was alive. I cleaned for her for over 30 years until just before she moved. She and Ernie were wonderful to me and treated me as though I was family. I am devastated by the loss of one of my angels here on earth. I’ll always remember them with smiles and love. I know how much she cherished her family and you have lost so much with her passing. My deepest sympathy.

It is with great sorrow we learned of Irene’s recent passing. As our favourite Auntie, she will be missed by all that had the good fortune to know her. She always had a happy smile, and pleasant words for everyone she met. Her personality was always bubbly and cheerful, no matter what challenges she, and the love of her life - Ernie, we’re facing. Her generosity to others was well known. She was very lucky to have generally enjoyed good health for her many years. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Rest In Peace, auntie “Speedy”.
