It is with deep sadness, the family of James David Anderson announce his passing at the St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 84 years. James is lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Cecile; son Bruce (Linda) Anderson; daughter Nancy (Otto) Schriemer; son Glen Anderson (Sandy); grandchildren Nathan (Jennifer) Anderson and their children Christian and Keaton; Chelsy (Brian) Skwark and their children Kaeson and Rylan and Kristen (Matt) Bartsch and their children, Luuk and Kaydence; two sisters Bernice Pilon and Thelma Oscar; one brother Earl (Marilyn) Anderson as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sons Larry and Don Anderson; twin brother Gordon Anderson and his parents Robert and Paula Anderson. James was employed for 34 years at the University of Saskatchewan – Poultry Sciences Department and also spent 17 years working part-time at Motorways. James was a kind and loving man, he was happiest when surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James’ smile could light up a room and the twinkle in his eye was always present. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him. Memorial Donations in memory of James may be made for cancer research to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, 200-4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK S4W 0G3. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Family. Rite of Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
