With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of James Abram Dyck, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, who left us on December 9, 2025, in his hometown of Saskatoon. He was born on February 1, 1989, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience.
James was the cherished son of Jacki and Abie Dyck, and his life was enriched by the love of his family, notably his devoted wife Rebecca and precious son Leif. He is also survived by his three sisters—Sara Wilk (Adam), Kristina Dyck (Andre), and Kelsey Dyck—was always a proud uncle to his nephews, Alister and Orson Wilk, and will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Gayle Woodward.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Abram and Florence Dyck, and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Woodward, James held close the memories of his loved ones, carrying their spirits with him throughout his life.
Growing up, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid snowmobiler and relished time spent at the family lake, where he created countless memories with his family. His competitive spirit shone through in his passion for paintball, where he forged a deep bond with Nathan Panamaroff. His intellect shone brightly during spirited debates, where he enjoyed engaging with friends such as Adam Saxton, on various topics.
James's legacy is defined not only by hardworking contributions to the family farm but also by his loving nature and the impact he had on those around him. As we remember his quick smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family, we find solace in the knowledge that he has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Possibilities Recovery Centre, Oxford House, or other mental health and addictions programs.
