He took his early retirement in order to spend his time working as proprietor of his hotel in Young, SK which he purchased in 1981, only to retire once again after 27 ½ years. In his spare time he loved to take his family camping, go fishing, berry picking, hunting with Doreen and Ken, reading, playing cards and fixing things. He was blessed to be able to carry on these activities with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Dorreen also travelled extensively. The family would like to thank the exceptional caregivers at St. Paul’s by having donations made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation (1702 20th St. West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9), in lieu of flowers. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.).
