Dad was born on a farm in the Canora Saskatchewan area. He met, fell in love and married Pauline Swetleshnoff. When the first two children of four were born, he applied and was accepted into the Saskatoon Police Service. He eventually rose to the rank of Inspector. His career there lasted for 28 years. He especially loved working in the Youth section.
When he was close to retirement, he and Mom purchased Chitek Lake golf course and ran it for 17 years, opening up the last two fairways and eventually adding irrigation and grass greens. They fully retired to the lake front log cabin that they built. It was one of many log cabin projects for the family. They designed and built these cabins from the cutting of the trees to the hand positioning of the logs. In their later years they moved back to Saskatoon and eventually lived at Stonebridge Crossing and Samaritan Place where they were exceptionally well taken care of. The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff.
