It is with profound sadness that the family of Julius “Jules” Danchak announces his passing at the age of 78 after a courageous struggle with cancer. Julius was the eldest child, born to the late Harry and Mary (Toth) Danchak in the Aberdeen area. Jules will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 51 years Sally (Sander), son Bryan, daughter Cheryl (Trever) Sadler, granddaughters Miranda Perry, Gretchen and Etta Sadler, sisters Irene Konanz, Ollie (Abe) Chubak, Elizabeth (Morris) Ewaniuk, Audrey (Dave) Nicholas, Alyce (Bill) Ogrodnick, Carol Heffernan, brother Myron (Brenda) Danchak, brother-in-law Gil (Doreen) Sander, sister-in-law Audrey Olin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jules graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1958 and enjoyed a fulfilling life. He had a great sense of humour which brought great admiration from family and friends. Jules enjoyed golfing, fishing and coffee with his family and friends and he also liked the challenge of a good game of cards. Special appreciation to family and friends for their support and prayers and also to Dr. A. Ogieglo, CAPAS and Palliative Care nurses for their compassionate care. Jules’ faith was important to him. He was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus Council and had served on parish council. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Millennium Pro-Life Cross at Millennium Cross Foundation Inc. (706 Overholt Court, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4S8) or to Mary’s Meals (Box 76144, Millrise RPO, Calgary, AB T2Y 2Z0). The Vigil for Jules will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5. Both services will be held at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Pl.) in Saskatoon.
