June 2, 1920 ~ August 19, 2017
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother June E. (nee Olsen) Bradley of Saskatoon, SK on August 19, 2017. She will be sadly missed by daughters Juanita (Ray) Vetter of Ottawa, Enid (Abe Reimer) of Kelowna, sons Darryl and Laurie (Lynne Samson) of Saskatoon, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister Rita Barker of Regina, and good friends Jeanine and Mark Jagoe of Pike Lake, SK. June was predeceased by her husband Brad (Vivian Lyster) in 1964 in Prince Albert, as well as four sisters and two brothers. June spent all of her 97 years living throughout Saskatchewan beginning with her childhood in Phippen (Wilkie/Unity), then as wife of an RCMP officer in numerous small towns such as Lloydminster, Glaslyn, Cumberland House and Prince Albert and the past 53 years in Saskatoon where she started and operated Saskatoon’s first all women real estate (Action Real Estate). Sports were her passion as she played for the Saskatoon Pats women's fastball team in the 1940’s, was an avid speed skater, skier, and passionate golfer that led to her competing in four Canada Seniors’ Games winning two silvers, one bronze and a gold medal in golf. She was an active member of the Royal Purple, Royal Canadian Legion and the RCMP Veterans’ Assoc. Memorial donations or tributes made be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. A Celebration of Life is planned for late September and will be announced in this paper at a later date. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Extendicare and Prairie Spring Nursing Home for their excellent care given to our Mom.
