Kathleen was predeceased by her parents Anton Schatz and Katherine Vogt. She was the youngest of 12 siblings; 7 sisters and 4 brothers. She has one surviving brother, Ron (Amy) Schatz of Saskatoon and 10 siblings who predeceased her: Rose (Bob) Moore, Helen Schatz, Margaret (Jack) Taylor, Jack (Anne) Schatz, Anne (Henry) Henriksen, Irene (Don) Hallett, Ted (Doris) Schatz, Berny Schatz, Doreen Schatz and Edwin Schatz.
Kathleen was born on a farm in Allan, Saskatchewan and later moved to Saskatoon. She worked at Marvel Beauty School as an instructor and later as a manager. She was devoted to her faith and an active member of St. Paul’s Cathedral. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings in her early years, enjoyed reading and took pride in her tidiness and organizational skills. She lived an active lifestyle prior to her stroke in 2014. Kathleen received great comfort from the staff at Central Haven Special Care Home who greatly assisted in her care.
A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Nurses and care givers at Central Haven Special Care Home for their compassionate and excellent care.
Arrangements entrusted to Ashley Knash.
