

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin Wilson, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on Friday, November 20, 2015. Kevin was born in Tasmania, Australia, on April 29, 1934. He trained as a teacher and taught in Tasmania before bringing his family to Saskatoon in 1971. There he joined the University of Saskatchewan in the Department of Administration at the College of Education where he acted as Department Head and Associate Dean. Kevin has many interests including scouting, woodworking, fishing, gardening, Aussie Rules football, travelling, and playing various games with his sons and grandchildren, especially those that strengthened their math skills. He joined the Rotary Club of Saskatoon in 1993 and served as President in 2001-2002, and he was also active in the Probus Club. Cherishing memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Jan; and their four sons, Steven (June) with Larissa (Brad) and Andrew, Ian (Nancy) with Erin (Nic) with Noah, Spencer (Monica) with Demi, and Sammi (Jonathan), Tim (Paulette) with David, Matthew, Paul, Elizabeth, Olivia and Peter, and Tony (Wendy) with Trisha, Tanya, Kelsey with Ava and Connor, and Matthew. Sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Clinic and the Coronary Care Unit at Royal University Hospital. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saskatchewan Heart Foundation. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25th at McClure United Church (4025 Taylor St East) with Rev. Ron McConnell and Rev. Debra Berg officiating.
