The family moved to Saskatoon when Len was young. He attended Mayfair Public School and Technical High School. Len held various jobs in his youth before beginning his career with Saskatoon Motor Products in 1954, working as a parts man.
In 1962, Len married Bev Rose and they moved to Calgary. Over the next few years, four sons were born: Shawn, Kevin, Cory, and Darren. In 1972, they moved back to Saskatoon where Len was employed with Sherwood Chev Olds as a parts man, eventually taking over the position of parts manager—a role he held for the next 30 years. In 1984, Len and Bev divorced.
In 1986, he met Janice Archer, and after a 10-year courtship, they married in Las Vegas on December 16, 1997.
Len was an exceptional parts manager and won many trips through General Motors. He and Janice enjoyed many beautiful holidays over the years to places such as Maui; Carmel, California; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Key Largo, Florida. The highlight of their travels was visiting Salzburg and Vienna, Austria.
Len was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Janice; sons, Darren and Shawn; brothers, Bob and Bert; and sisters-in-law, Patricia and Mary. He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Donna) and Cory (Heather); daughter-in-law, Karen; brother, Laurie (Betty); brother-in-law, Jerry Archer (Glenna); grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole; numerous nieces and nephews; and very good friends Tom and Rhonda Bourhis, Karen Webster, and Marcel Lacoursiere.
As per Len’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. The interment will take place at the Columbarium at St. John’s Cathedral, Saskatoon.
