

Lillian passed away peacefully at the age of 92, with her family by her side. Lillian will be greatly missed by her sister, Silvia (Larry) Jamaiff; her children, Patricia Taylor, Shirley Schmidt, Robert (Ruby) Taylor, Donna (Roger) Fehr and Wendy Taylor; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lillian was born in Liverpool, England. She wed Harry Taylor on April 1939 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. Lillian and Harry moved to Saskatoon in 1941 where she raised her children and worked as a manager in the restaurant industry until retirement. Lillian owned a truckstop restaurant, and managed the cafeterias at the Federated Co-op, Co-op Home Centre and 33rd St. Co-op. Lillian loved animals. She raised roller canaries and entered them in to singing contests, winning many awards. She had a special adoration for horses, and always had cats and dogs for pets. Lillian enjoyed old tyme dancing and won a medal for her participation in the 55+ Senior games in 1998. She attended regular “dance nights” at the Pensioners and Pioneers Club as well as the Fairfield Senior Centre. She was known to be a great dancer as well as an excellent hand in the kitchen. She particularly loved tap dancing and enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren tap dance. Lillian enjoyed bowling and won numerous awards. She was a spirited person and her energy and liveliness was contagious. Her smile could light up a room. Lillian adored all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff of Eastridge 1 at the Parkridge Centre for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
