Lloyd Philip Dosch

Lloyd was born on August 14, 1944, in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan, son of Adam Dosch and Louise (Zelia) Balaux. He was the youngest of four brothers: Marvin, Richard, and Clarence. He attended school in Willow Bunch and then spent some time working for several farmers in the area. He later attended the University of Saskatchewan and Teacher’s College in Saskatoon, before returning to teach at Willow Bunch School.

In 1971, he married Renee Philippon. They took over the family farm in 1975, where they raised three children: Jordan, Erin and Amy. After almost thirty years of farming, they moved to the Saskatoon area to be closer to their daughters. They worked for their son-in-law and ended up building their home in Neuanlage, Saskatchewan. Lloyd retired in 2018. He passed away at the age of 80 years.

Lloyd is remembered for his jovial and outgoing nature, his ability to tease and the gift of being able to strike up a conversation with almost anyone. He loved horses, farming and playing guitar. He spent his retirement listening to music, playing his instruments, taking care of the yard and enjoying his family, friends and grandkids.

Lloyd is predeceased by his parents, Adam and Zelia, his brother Clarence, sister-in-law Megan, and his nephews, Marlon Dosch and Nicholas Mantyka.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Renee, his three children, Jordan (Marie-Michèle), Erin (Greg) and Amy (Trevor), as well as his 7 grandchildren, Soukaina, Gabriel, Hailey, Jackson (Samantha), Liam, Jase and Cole. Lloyd will also be remembered by his brothers Marvin (Simonne) and Richard, sister-in-law Doris Dosch, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

His family extends a warm welcome to those wishing to attend his funeral services. The celebration will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 2pm at Mourning Glory - Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel. Located at 915 Acadia Dr, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
