Maria Dina Rosalia Koenderink passed away quietly in her sleep surrounded by her family after a bad stroke. She was predeceased by her husband Albert. She is survived by her son Ron (Karen), daughter Sharon (Shane), grandchildren Alyssa (Adam), Matthew, and Katelyn (Matthew), great grandchild Jack, brother-in-law Jerry (Myrla), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1956 and married Albert. She focused on raising her family. She also worked as a bookkeeper and tax consultant. She also did volunteer work. She enjoyed camping and boating with her family. She enjoyed sports and won a number of medals at the All Senior Care Senior Games. She enjoyed playing bridge, games, puzzling and reading. In recent years, Albert and Rita loved spending the winters in their RV in Pahrump, NV. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the 2nd floor staff at Stensrud Lodge for the wonderful care given to Rita and her family. At her request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
