

Marie Dziuba (Ewaniuk), age 72 of Wakaw, SK, died suddenly on December 20, 2015 of heart failure. Marie was born in Cudworth, SK, on December 29, 1942 and was raised on a farm west of town. Cudworth is where she attended school and met her husband Edward Dziuba, they were married on January 27, 1962. She and Edward lived on the family farm where they began their family, until moving to Saskatoon in 1968. While raising her four children, Marie worked at a nursing home for many years, where she loved to talk to the seniors and hear about their life stories. In December 2005, Marie and Edward retired to Wakaw, SK, were she loved to plant a large garden. She would get up at the break of dawn to toil in her pride and joy. She talked a great deal about the good and loving friends she had made there, and commented many times how she loved the quiet community, and the closeness of the people. She is survived by her husband, Edward Dziuba; her four children: Barbara (Philip) Mambo, Brenda (Philip) Stadnyk, Harlen (Alisha) Dziuba, Sheldon (Georgette) Dziuba; and her six grandchildren: Tyler Stadnyk, Tori Stadnyk, Alina Mambo, Mark Mambo, Carter Dziuba and Cole Dziuba. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 31 Main Street Wakaw, SK, on December 29th at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Father Phong Tran as celebrant.
