Mom loved unconditionally and shared a kindred spirit with playfulness and wit. Mama was selfless, nonjudgemental and a fun adventurous travel companion. We’ve learned to appreciate our Ukrainian heritage through cooking, celebrations and strong work ethic. Mom also loved her flowers and garden. She was especially devoted to her faith in God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. We were truly blessed by her kindness and infectious smile. Mom, as protector, became our archangel. After many years on the farm, she worked at St Anne’s Nursing Home as a cook, and at St Paul’s Hospital in laundry and dietary. Prayers will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 at 8pm at Acadia McKague Funeral Centre, 915 Acadia Drive and the Divine Liturgy will be on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 1:00pm at St George’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral located at 214 Ave M South with Very Rev.
