Mary is survived by her husband Rev. Fr. Alex Hupka, her son George Hupka, her sister Lessia Slipchuk, and brother George Tkachyk (Vera), and nieces and nephews Dorianne Martyniuk (Peter), Michael Slipchuk, Laurie Landro (Jeff), Dan Tkachyk (Ann) and Robbie Tkachyk.
She was pre-deceased by her birth mother Parascheva (nee Kotyk), her father Michael Tkaczyk, and her new mother Tena Tkaczyk.
Prayer service will be held at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Parish, 2616 Louise Street, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Peter Wasylenko officiating. The funeral will be held at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10611-110 Ave. Edmonton, Alberta, On Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Rt. Rev. Fr. Stephan Semotiuk Officiating. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints (Saskatoon) or Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. John (Edmonton).
