

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Cherepacha announce the passing of our Dad, Grandpa, and Gido on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the age of 95. Michael was born on March 2nd, 1929 in Alvena, Saskatchewan to Doris and Matwe Cherepacha. He married the love of his life Mary Cherepacha on June 7, 1952 and raised their family in Saskatoon. Michael and Mary loved to travel and spend time with their friends. They spent many summers at Delaronde Lake where he loved to fish and play kaiser. In his retirement, Mary and Michael were active in their church, seniors center and bowling league where they made many friends. Left to mourn his passing are his three children-Larry (Shari) Cherepacha, Leonard (Ginny) Cherepacha, Natalie (Mike) Drabyk; grandchildren-Mikael (Laurie) Drabyk, Shawn (Melissa) Drabyk, Krystal (Chad) Sander, Chris (Morgan) Cherepacha, Angel (Mike) Price, Kelsey (Jostein) Kevinsen, Michele (Taylor) Pasichnyk; and great grandchildren- Ava, Makayla, Kashton, Emersyn, Weston, Grayson, Saylor, Neko, Isla, Etta and Winnie. He will also be missed by many close friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Cherepacha. We will miss him dearly and will cherish our memories of him. Special thanks to A1 Care Home, Erin Boyce and the Seniors First nurses for the exceptional care they provided. Vigil of Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 7, 2024. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 8, 2024. Both services will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church (1202 11th Street East, Saskatoon). Rite of Committal to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
