

Myrtle Froese, aged 87 years, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by family. Myrtle was born November 9, 1938, in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. She was the third youngest of 8 children born to Elmer and Evelyn Maess.
After graduating from high school in 1957 in her hometown, she came to Saskatoon and completed a CleriType course at Saskatoon Business College.
Myrtle married Henry Froese in 1961, and they went on to have five children: Jeffrey (Jenny) Froese, Angela (Rod) Karol, Randall Froese, Timothy (Kimberlee) Froese, and Diane Froese. She was further blessed with 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
When their children were growing up, Myrtle and the family enjoyed their holidays camping at lakes in northern Saskatchewan, but also took many trips to Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise.
Myrtle was a creative soul who enjoyed knitting, coloring, and mending garments for her rambunctious grandchildren. She was a devout Baptist who looked forward to attending church every Sunday.
Myrtle was predeceased by her loving husband Henry; her son Timothy; and her sisters: Annie, Lillian, Esther, and Marie.
A Celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon) with Pastor Jerry Richard presiding. Lunch to follow.
