It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pat Parker (nee Millard), 84, on Monday January 10 after a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her son Terry (1982) and will be dearly missed by son Tim (Alison), daughter Dennilyn, Dennis, and her grandchildren Matthew, Erika, and Griffin who were the light of her life. Pat is survived by numerous loved ones in England and all over Canada.
Pat was born in Dover, England and trained to be a registered nurse in Folkestone. She moved with her husband Dennis to Ontario in 1960 where they started a family. Pat lived a full life. She loved to travel, and some of her favourite trips were to Africa, Costa Rica, and winter getaways to Mexico. Pat moved to Saskatoon in 2007 and will be fondly remembered by her stitching friends, dogwalker friends, and most everyone else who met her. She thrived in the hospitality she found in Saskatoon and started her love of needle painting here.
Pat had an amazing laugh and brightened the room with her vibrant personality. She was very generous and kind and welcomed many people into her home. She loved animals and her kindness was even extended to mice that found their way into her house. She enjoyed learning new things and was interested in current affairs, anything to do with the natural world and having good laughs with her friends. She will be missed. Rather than a service, Pat wished for trees to be planted in her memory. Arrangements in care of David Schurr – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
