Ralph Gordon

Ralph passed away peacefully at Stensrud Lodge in the early hours of Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Ralph was born on October 6, 1927 in Saskatoon and had a career with the C.N.R. for approximately 37 years. Ralph was predeceased by his wife Grace, parents, sisters Evelyn Stensrud, Marian Nelson, and Rita Stensrud, brothers-in-law Bill (Helen) Poelzer of Kelowna, Bev (Ann) Harvey of Saskatoon, Rudy (Genny) Poelzer of Edmonton, and members of Grace’s family: daughters Anita Schenn, Brenda Harris and son Errol Berger. Surviving are Grace’s daughter Coleen Meldrum of Saskatoon and son Elmer Berger of Okotoks. Ralph and his wife Grace were married at St. Philip’s Parish and as of June 15, 2014 they were married for 40 years. After Ralph retired with the C.N.R. he enjoyed manicuring people’s yards. He did this for quite a while with great enjoyment. As well Grace enjoyed her yard and especially her prize lilies she grew for years. Ralph and Grace attended church services on Sundays. Ralph turned to the Catholic religion when they went to St. Joseph Parish on Broadway. A Private Celebration of Ralph’s Life will take place this summer in Humboldt where Grace is buried.
