

Raymond went to meet his Lord on Tuesday Nov. 11, 2014, at the age of 69. Raymond is predeceased by his father, Leon and mother, Maria (Hounjet). He is survived by his wife, Adrienne; sons, Robert (Brandy), Michael (Holly), Denis (Tammy), David (Viviane), Mark (Melissa), Marcel (Amber); 15 grandchildren, Brittney, Michael, Kyle, Amelia, Isabella, Matthew, David, Elliot, Kiera, Emily, Alexandra, Kieran, Melanie, Landen and Jessica; his sisters and brothers, Dorille (Ernie), Roger (Carol), Yvonne (Russ), Gerald (Gwen) and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was born June 17, 1945 in Saskatoon. He attended Prud’homme school until age 14, when he took over the family farm. Raymond married Adrienne, the love of his life, on July 4, 1970. They lived in Prud’homme, SK for 38 years where they farmed and raised their six boys. Raymond was very active in his faith as a member of the Knights of Columbus and Parish Council. Seeding and harvest were his favorite times of the year. Raymond continued farming with his brothers after he moved to Saskatoon. He loved camping, skiing and spending time with his wife and family. Raymond bravely battled Kidney Disease for the last 11 years. Even through his sickness, he enjoyed life and brought laughter into every room. He shared his knowledge of faith, life and laughter with everyone he came in contact with. The Vigil for Raymond will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon) at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Prud’homme at Sts. Donatien et Rogatien Church on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am. Lunch will be served at Prud’homme Silver Age Club. The family would like to express a special thank you to the dialysis unit at St. Paul’s Hospital for keeping Raymond in such good health for the last 11 years. A special thanks to Dr. Barton and the entire medical team.
