Bob Jamison passed away peacefully at City Hospital, Saskatoon, after a short illness. Bob grew up on a farm near Perdue, Saskatchewan until his family moved to Saskatoon, where he attended high school. He started his career at the Royalite Refinery and soon became a negotiator for the Oil, Chemical & Atomic Workers Union. For most of his work life, Bob was an estates officer and manager at Co-operative Trust. He had three great loves: family, friends and football. He spent many wonderful (and frustrating) hours sitting at Taylor Field, cheering on his beloved Riders. He also loved the time spent in his little corner of heaven at Meeting Lake. But his great pride was in his children and grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife, Hertha; his parents; his brother, Fred and his sister, Audrey, Bob is survived by his wife, Jessie; his sister, Ruby Parkinson and his children and grandchildren. Left to mourn are Lori (Paul Kropp) of Toronto and daughter Jennifer Weintraub (Micah) of Vancouver; Kelly (Diane) of Calgary and their children Corey, Andrew and Haley; and Jeff (Suzanne) of Houston and daughter Alexandra, as well as Jessie’s family, Sandra (Brian), Karen (Victor) and Jack and their families. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to McClure United Church.
