Robert Alexander Leibel

Robert Leibel died peacefully on February 8, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 76. Robert was the eighth child of fourteen. He was the favorite uncle to many of his nieces and nephews who all have special memories of their uncle. Robert spent his younger years on the farm, where he worked very hard. Robert spent 22 years in Lloydminster with the Bea Fisher Centre and 19 years in Saskatoon with Cosmo Industries and the Supported Independent Living Program with Elmwood Residences. Robert was loved by his family. He enjoyed family gatherings of every kind, but especially those that included the little ones. He was the quiet observer in most situations but could command an audience in smaller situations with his jokes, stories and sometimes witty sarcasm.

Left to mourn Robert are his five sisters, Sr. Valentia Leibel SSND, Josine Klemm (George) Imelda Robertson, Betty Farraton (Leo) Theresa Winterhalt (Ralph); his brothers Tom Zerre and Maynard Leibel; in-laws Elsie Leibel, Marie Leibel, Elmer Reschny, Ellen Leibel, Sally Leibel and as he would say too many nieces and nephews, great and great-great kiddos.

He was predeceased by his parents, Valentine and Anastasia; his brothers Stephen, Ted, Michael, Will and Norbert; sister Cathy Reschny; in-laws Lindly Robertson, Lorie Couture, and Carole Leibel; nieces Charlotte Grant and Yvonne Derbowka; and great-nephew Zachary Seminoff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Pl, Saskatoon). Rite of Committal will take place at a later time in 2022 in Denzil, SK. Arrangements are in care of Ashley Knash
