

Bob was born in Saskatoon on December 2, 1937, and was raised on the family farm in Vonda, Saskatchewan. The family later moved to Saskatoon, where they opened the Sirois Grocery Store on 11th Street.
Bob proudly served with the Saskatoon Fire Department for 35 years, retiring as a Captain in 1993.
Prior to his stroke in 2015, Bob enjoyed golf, skiing, curling, and playing Kaiser. He especially loved spending time at Wakaw Lake with family and friends. ......And “Cockroach” did he ever love his purple martins in his birdhouse that he built.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlene (Lieffers); his son, Dan (Joan); and his daughters, Michelle (Vince) and Rosanne. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Toni (Craig), Levi (Taylor, great-grandson Jett), Drew (Megan, great-granddaughter Isabel), Reed (Candace), Ross (Hilary), and Dane.
He is also survived by his sister, Muriel Turcotte (Rosaire).
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Paul-Emile and Bertha (Pion), and his siblings: Allyre (Madeleine Ehman), Laurent (Grace Rachel Parker; Lorraine Menard), Roger (Jeanne d’Arc Carpentier), René (Louise Dogniez), Dolores (Joseph Leier). Brothers Donald, Denis, and Richard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martyrs Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, 1007 Windsor Street, Saskatoon.
