During her childhood, she lived in Elfros, SK, Fruitvale, BC and on the family farm east of Mozart, SK.
Shelley graduated in the spring of 1991 as a Registered Nurse. Her nursing career saw her in Swift Current, Wynyard, Yorkton, Humboldt, High Prairie and Saskatoon.
Shelley is lovingly remembered by her son, James Jonasson and daughter, Jewel Jonasson, who were her pride and joy, siblings; Dwayne (Brenda), Dick (Joan), Sheila (Randy) Proznik and Shannon Bzdel, aunt Pat Jorgenson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Shelley is predeceased by her parents; Edward, in 2009 and Nancy, in 2010, brother, Darcy, in 1996 and brother-in-law, Ron Bzdel, in 2013.

A Celebration in her honor will be held at Mourning Glory-Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive) in Saskatoon, on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt with Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
