Mrs. Sherry Lynn Kopelchuk

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Kopelchuk on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. After a six week battle, Sherry peacefully passed away with her family at her side. Sherry was born in Winnipeg, Man where she attended public and secondary school in Transcona. Sherry attended post secondary school at St. Boniface School of Nursing where she graduated as a registered nurse. After graduation, she met the love of her life, Allan Kopelchuk who she married and moved with to Saskatoon. With her outmost devotion and her love of children, Sherry practiced as a nurse in pediatrics for 35 years at Royal University Hospital. Sherry was predeceased by her father, Peter Jaman; and her father in law Peter Kopelchuk. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Allan Kopelchuk; her mother, Doris Jaman; her mother in law, Antonia Kopelchuk; her two children, Jennifer Hounjet and Jordan Kopelchuk; her son in law, Marcel Hounjet; her grandchild, Isabel Hounjet; her sister in law, Audrey and husband Ron Hoehn; her brother in law Leonard Kopelchuk and wife Winnifred; along with her numerous nephews and nieces. Prayer service will be held on Sunday, August 22 at 7:00 pm at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre located at 915 Acadia Drive. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23 at 10:00 am at Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral located at 919 – 20th Street West. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Acadia McKague’s Funeral Center, 955-1600.
