

The family is sad to announce the passing of Sidney Garfield McCoy on April 12/2012 at Sherbrooke Veteran’s Village. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters, grandson Jay, granddaughter Randeen and son-in-law Nestor Puchalski.
He was born on the farm south of Milden, SK on August 5, 1924. Attended school in Milden and graduated from Nutana Collegiate. On his 18th birthday he left the U of S and joined the R.C.A.F. After returning from overseas he married the love of his life Evelyn Andres on February 14, 1946. They farmed for over 20 years and raised 7 children. He retired from Canada Life after 20+ years of service. He enjoyed travelling, the time at Candle Lake, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Left to mourn, his wife of 66 years Evelyn, his children Terry McCoy (Wenda), Bruce McCoy, Sherry McCoy, Colleen Puchalski, Susan Hodgkinson (Rick), Jackie Famulak (Mike), and Robin Fulton (Al), plus 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on April 21/ 2012 at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Center, 915 Acadia Dr. Saskatoon, SK. at 3PM
