Stanley was born to Rose and John Kaminski on December 30, 1954, at Spiritwood Hospital. He lived on the family farm near Penn, SK, taking his schooling at Edward Lake Country School, Spruce Creek Country School, and in Leoville, SK.
He met the love of his life in 1974 and married Lornetta Harrison in June 1975. They had four children:
• Marcel, born in 1976 in Medicine Hat, AB
• Tammy, born in 1979 in Regina, SK
• Marcy, born in 1983 in Tisdale, SK
• Shane, born in 1986 in Humboldt, SK
Stan loved his fishing and hunting in Northern Saskatchewan. He loved his four legged boys, Coco and Bear. Camping was deeply enjoyed. His garden was his pride and joy. He loved cooking, but cleaning up after himself was not his thing—he did get better with age.
He is survived by:
• Wife, Lornetta, of Cudworth

• Marcy (Lottie) Kaminski and boys Mackenzie and Lucas of Penhold, Alberta
• Shane (Kayla) Kaminski and girls Shyla and Jaelyn of Martensville, Saskatchewan
• Sister in Law, Maxine Kaminski of Marsden
• Son in Law, Rob Ferguson
He is predeceased by:

• Father, John Kaminski
• Brother, Henry Kaminski of Marsden, Saskatchewan, in 2024

• Father in Law, Maynard Harrison, in 1980

• Stepfather, Wilf Thomas of Melfort, Saskatchewan, in 2023
Following school, he worked for local farmers, then on C.P. Rail at Choiceland, SK, until moving to Port Alberni, BC, where he worked at the lumber mills. He then moved to Whiskey Creek, BC. Due to the mills striking, he moved back to Elkwater, Alberta, in 1975 and worked for a rancher before going back to C.P. Rail in 1976 for a short time, living in Leoville and Imperial, SK. He moved to Pilot Butte, SK, where he worked security and cleaned office buildings until returning to the railroad permanently in 1978, where he remained until his retirement in April 2010.
While on the railroad, he worked on the sections, bank widening, running a D7 cat cleaning right of way, and worked on the brush cutter for several years until 1990, when he became a material truck driver. He worked in the Leoville, Imperial, Regina, Tisdale, St. Benedict, Wilkie, and Wynyard sections.
After C.P. Rail retirement, in September 2010 he went to work for Calfrac Well Services based out of Red Deer, Alberta, until fully retiring in November 2018, living in Foam Lake, SK, and moving to Cudworth, SK, in April 2021.
Stan will be lovingly remembered for his hard work, deep love of family, and the simple joys that brought him peace throughout his life.
As per Stan’s request, no funeral will be held. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Diabetes Canada, because of his battle with diabetes, Autism Canada, or the Arthritis Society of Canada to support his family members.
