Steven Lucyshyn

Steve passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021 at St Paul’s Hospital with his family by his side. Steve was born on June 29, 1928 on the farm in Prud’Homme, SK. He attended the Saskatoon Technical Collegiate and obtained his accounting diploma, after which he worked as an office manager until he retired in 2004. Steve married Pauline Sirman in 1960 and they honeymooned in Niagara Falls, which was very exotic in those days. Steve was well-known in the community as a member of the Knights of Columbus, including the Fourth Degree where he held the title of Faithful Navigator along with various other titles. He volunteered tirelessly, including, as a member of the Parish Council for St. Francis Church. Steve was a gentle man and well-known for his mischievous sense of humour, annual trips to Hawaii, his love of gardening, and his love of animals.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Pauline, daughter Anita (Bill) and her children Nathan (Stephanie), Robyn (Tom) of Saskatoon; son Brian, his wife Sally and their sons Andrew and Christopher of Saskatoon, Andrew and Gedo shared the same birthday; son Calvin and his wife Sara of Victoria; sisters-in-law Pauline and Wasylia Lucyshyn.

Steve was predeceased by his parents, John and Annie Lucyshyn, sister Pauline and brother-in-law Fred, brother Joe and sister-in-law Katie, brother Frank, brother Kazimer, sister Tena and brother-in-law Steve.

The family of Steve Lucyshyn invite you to the celebration of his life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Volodymyr Villa Chapel, 3102 Louise Place, Saskatoon, SK with Rt. Rev. Vladimir Mudri as Celebrant.

The family request that everyone in attendance to please wear a mask.
