

1931-2016
The family of Tom Brophy announce his passing on December 3, 2016. He was born in Saskatoon on January 15, 1931. He attended St. Mary’s school and Tech Collegiate. After school, he spent three and a half years in the navy. He then spent most of his working career with the Saskatoon Fire Department. After retiring from the fire department he was a private contractor for various insurance companies. Tom was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving family; wife Del; sons, Bob (Kelly), Don; grandchildren, Christine (Travis Horne), Mike (Shanna), Tara and Erin Brophy; great-grandchildren, Nick and Kaitlynn Brophy, Lochlan and Amelia Horne; sisters, Sheron (Clare) Usselman, Dorothy Usselman; sister-in-law Adele Brophy and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his son, Wally (Anne); parents, Edward and Marie-Ange Brophy; brothers, Eddie and Tony. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. Presiding will be Ethna Martin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 8 at 10:30 a.m. The Celebrant will be Rev. Father Emile April. Both services will be held at St. Philip Neri Church (1902 Munroe Avenue Saskatoon). Rite of Committal to take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon.
