It is with deep sadness that the family of Twila Teal announces her passing on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 74.
Twila loved and cared deeply for her family; her son Mark (Carrie) Teal, and grandchildren Lakelyn and Layla Teal. Twila was predeceased by her parents, Bruce Murray and Vivian Murray, and her brother Donald Murray.
Twila was born on May 19, 1951, to Bruce Murray and Vivian Murray (Denton). She lived her early years in Zelma, SK in a house that was very close to the family farm. There in Zelma, she made friendships that would last her a lifetime. After her earlier years in Zelma, and later graduating from high school, her adventure began, and she lived a lifetime of amazing experiences.
The most important thing to Twila was her family. She spent many hours in hockey rinks, at baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and horse-riding stables to support Mark, and later her granddaughters. She was their biggest fan. Twila spent many happy and memorable winters in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, and summers at her “happy place”, the family cabin at Emma Lake. These places will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to experience them with her.
Through all the ups and downs in her life, Twila remained incredibly strong, independent, kind, and generous. She loved, and was loved by, her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all those who helped Twila in her last year as she battled dementia. Thank you to the nursing staff and doctors at RUH and the amazing care team at Stensrud Lodge. Twila and her friends and family thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your compassion fills this world every day.
