Victor Henry Koop

February 12, 1932 – December 16, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our father Victor Koop at Circle Drive Special Care Home in Saskatoon. Victor suffered from Parkinson’s and a variety of other ailments. After his wife Herta passed away in June of 2014, he lost his will to live. He passed away peacefully on December 16th in the afternoon.  He will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and church. Victor is pre-deceased by his wife Herta Tina Koop. He is survived by his four children: Leonard Koop (Jason) of Dundurn, Marjorie (Charlie) Smith (Jodie, Eric, Celeste) of Allan, Sharon (Ronald) Hewer of Carstairs, Dennis (Kim) Koop (Mackenzie, Jordan) of Mississauga; by his sisters Marg Peters, Agnes Peters, Heidi Harder, Mel Crossley and Marlene (Dave) Froese; by his brother-in-law Elmer (friend Frieda Coben) Harder, sister-in-law Erna (Aldred) Neufeld, brother-in-law Vern (Barb) Harder and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his brother Heinrich; his daughter Christina; parents Henry and Maria Koop;  parents-in-law Jacob and Helena Harder; in-laws Nick Peters, Mary Harder, Helen Froese, Arnie Froese, Ed Peters, Wayne Crossley and Henry Harder. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00pm, at the Pleasant Point Mennonite Church, Clavet. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee (600 45 ST W Sasktoon, S7L 5W9).  Arrangements have been entrusted to David Schurr - MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306-978-5200)
