We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father, William John Wood. Well respected father, grandfather and great grandfather.
After living a life well lived on his own terms, he leaves behind a legacy of his family, daughters, Lori Doige (Ian) and Carla Wood (David), 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Our father’s wonderful life was fulfilled by his exemplary RCMP career, which included the RCMP musical ride and retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 1989.
Our dad had a passion for music and picked up the fiddle after 40 years of not playing. His musical prowess was evident with the playing with the Silver Strings, which brought so much enjoyment to the members and audiences for 25 years.
There is no doubt his biggest love was his daughters, Lori and Carla, and he will be quoted as saying, “You and Lori are my life”
