

COLLINS, Agnes Mae (nee Ballantyne) – Born March 9, 1937, Agnes passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 15, 2016, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Arnold Collins and one month shy of their 59th anniversary. Agnes was the loving mother of Kenneth (Regena), Gordon (Susan), David (Sherri), and Janis Fair (John). Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Christopher, Katlyn, Jennifer, Katherine, Eric, Brett, and Lucas. Dear sister of Ruby Grigg (Morley), Bella Cherry, Damaris Barnett (Ron) and sister-in-law of John Hurtubise, Robert Hambleton, Olga Collins and Gail Collins. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Sarah Ballantyne, her sister Virginia Hurtubise, as well as Russell Cherry, Robert Collins, Kathleen Hambleton, Harold and Ruby Collins, Neil and Beulah Bugden, Ellard and Freida Collins and William Collins. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Agnes was born and raised in Copper Cliff. She was a pianist for many years at First Baptist Church and Parkland Baptist Church. She worked at Sears for over 20 years and volunteered at ARCH and the Sault Area Hospital. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6 until 9 pm, and on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 9:30 until 10:30am. Funeral service to follow at 11am. Dr. John Howarth officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Hospital Neurovascular Dept., ARCH or Parkland Baptist Church.
COLLINS, Arnold Gordon – Born June 16, 1933. Passed away suddenly at home on Monday, August 8, 2016 in his 84th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Agnes of 59 years. Beloved father of Kenneth (Regena), Gordon (Susan), David (Sherri), and Janis Fair (John). Cherished Grandfather of Andrew, Christopher, Katlyn, Jennifer, Katherine, Eric, Brett and Lucas. Predeceased by his siblings Robert (Olga), Kathleen Hambleton (Robert), Harold (late Ruby), Beulah Bugden (late Neil), Ellard (late Freida), William (Gail), and his parents Alice and James Collins. Brother-in-law of Ruby Grigg (Morley), Bella Cherry (late Russell), the late Virginia Hurtubise (John), and Damaris Barnett (Ron). He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Arnold was born in Westmeath, Ontario. He was a deacon for many years at First Baptist Church and Parkland Baptist Church. He worked at Algoma Steel for 41 years, retiring 24 years ago. Arnold was an avid outdoorsman. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6 – 9 pm.
