MCCHESNEY, Betty-Lou – Peacefully at Algoma Residential Community Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the age of 72. Much too early, but much too late! Beloved wife of the late Douglas Ronald McChesney. Proud and loving mother to James Douglas (Tanya), Keri-Lyn McFarling (Jason) and Robert Gordon (Maria). Loving grandma of Justice, Isabelle, and Adelaide; Logan, Abby-Lyn and Hunter; Milania and Robert. Daughter of the late Gordon and the late Astrid Bresnahan. Dear sister of Linda Reynolds (Ross). Daughter-in-law of Isabelle and the late Robert McChesney. Sister-in-law of Allan (Michele), Beverley and Caroline (Julian). Aunt of David, Sandy, Lucinda, Allana, Angelina, Ciaran and Alexandra. Betty-Lou was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, where she eventually met her future husband Douglas who she met through her mother thanks to the church choir. She began teaching in Toronto, then moved north where they created a life and community with the most supportive and amazing friends. She was a lifetime member of UCW, a passionate teacher at heart who loved to travel. A very proud longstanding congregate of Willowgrove United Church.
