Dino Nocent

NOCENT, Dino – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dino Nocent announce his passing on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 with his devoted wife by his side. Born May 23, 1928 in San Vito, Italy to Giuseppe and Maria Nocent. Beloved husband of 59 years to Nives. Cherished father of Linda. Best friend and Nonno of Jasmine (Dustin), Jordan (Kayla), Camryn and Nicolas. Loving Nunu of Alexis. He will be missed by his brother Luciano, wife Giuseppina and nephew Sergio, wife Leanne and their children Luke, Mark, Katie and Kelly and sister Rosina (Italy). Predeceased by sisters Emilia and Anna and niece Nadia. He is loved from afar with nieces and nephews in Calgary and Italy. He was a hard worker spending 36 years at St. Mary’s Paper as well as being a respected Electrical contractor. Dino will be remembered as an avid fisherman, world traveller, and as a kind compassionate, generous man to everyone. He loved sports and played soccer for many years in both Europe and Canada. We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Therapists from the Sault Area Hospital – Plummer Site Long Term Care Unit and FJ Davey Home for all their care and compassion given to towards Dino and his family. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 11 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church at 1 pm. Father Michael Williams officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the FJ Davey Home Walkway to Health or the Sault Area Hospital – Cancer Care Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
